Coax cables
A coax cable is generally used for connections for cable television from the wall connection to the antenna connection of a television device, recorder or decoder. The special feature of this cable is that both picture and sound are transmitted via the same cable.
[split]
The special construction of the coax cable (namely coaxial) makes it a cable with very little radiation loss. In addition, high-frequency signals from outside cannot penetrate the cable and thus disturb the signal. This makes coaxial cables very stable cables in use.
Television or computer
For use with television, a cable with an impedance of 75 ohms is required. However, when used for computer networking, the cable should have an impedance of 50 Ohms. At networkcable.eu, we sell both types of coax cables.
