Cat8 cable can support speeds of up to 40 Gb/s over a distance of 30 metres and have a maximum bandwidth of as much as 2 GHz (2000 MHz).

A Cat8 cable has the highest transmission speed and bandwidth of our range of internet cables. Cat8 has two types of versions: Cat8.1 and Cat8.2, with the former having at least one shield (U/FTP) and the latter having at least two (S/FTP). The Cat8.1 cables from Netwerkkabel.eu all come with double shielding (S/FTP). This Cat8.1 cable is also standardised by the Telecomminications Industry Association (TIA).

Cat8.1 cables are fully compatible with Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a cables, among others.
