Choose a UTP cable Cat6 (U/UTP to be precise) if you want to benefit from a 1Gbit connection with a bandwidth of 250Mhz. The advantage over Cat5e cabling lies in that bandwidth, allowing you to perform more demanding tasks (gaming, streaming, VOIP etc.) (at the same time). Shielding or not?

Because the UTP cat6 cable has no shielding, it is important that the cable is not located near sources of interference (power, COAX, etc.). If this is the case, it is better to choose a Cat6 S/FTP version of this cable category. This is double shielded and will provide a more stable connection.
