Bulk Ethernet Cable (UTP, FTP and more)
A network cable on reel (UTP/FTP) is ideal when you need larger lengths of cable. Thus, these cables often come on reels or in a pull-out box, making them very easy to use. A reel of network cable is indispensable when cables need to be pulled through hollow ducts or walls. The biggest advantage is that there are no connectors on these cables yet, making the above jobs very easy to complete. We sell the highest quality UTP cable on reel and FTP cable on reel for the lowest price, including special network cables on reel for outdoor use.

Rolled network cable in many shapes and sizes
- Flexible and rigid network cables
- From 25m up to 500m on a roll
- Shielded (UTP cable on reel) and unshielded (FTP cable on reel)
- Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, Cat7
Shielded or unshielded reels?
An important choice is whether or not to shield the network cable on reel. An unshielded cable is often called a UTP cable on reel, while a shielded cable is often called an FTP cable. (Technically, by the way, this is not entirely correct; if you are interested in this, we recommend reading our blog: choosing network cable).
But in short: our U/UTP cables on the roll are unshielded (and are therefore also the cheapest). All our other rolls of internet cables (F/UTP, S/FTP, SF/UTP) are shielded. As a rule, we recommend the latter: shielded; this gives the least chance of interference. And although you may not suffer much from it now, don't write it off yet! By buying a well-shielded cable now, you are well prepared for the future at only a very small additional cost.
So which coiled cable should you get?
After choosing shielded or unshielded, you still have to choose the right category of network cable on reels. You have the following choices:
UTP cable by the roll
- Cat5e on re el (U/UTP) 1 gigabit per second (1,000 Mbps) bandwidth 100Mhz
- Cat6 on reel (U/UTP) 1 gigabit per second (1,000 Mbps) bandwidth 250Mhz
- Cat6a on reel (U/UTP) 10 gigabits per second (10,000 Mbps) bandwidth 500Mhz
FTP cable reel
- Cat5e on reel (S/FTP) 1 gigabit per second (1,000 Mbps) bandwidth 100Mhz
- Cat6 on reel (S/FTP) 1 gigabit per second (1,000 Mbps) bandwidth 250Mhz
- Cat6a on reel (S/UTP) 10 gigabits per second (10,000 Mbps) bandwidth 500Mhz
- Cat7 on reel (S/FTP) 10 gigabit per second (10,000 Mbps) bandwidth 1500 Mhz
For most households, we recommend Cat6 S/FTP. Certainly not the most expensive, yet fully prepared for the future.
Installing the network cable on a reel
After the cable has been pulled through the pipe or wall (using a pull spring), it is time to attach the connectors to the cable. For this, you will need RJ45 plugs (connectors) and an RJ45 crimping tool. Are you unsure whether you need a stiff or flexible cable? Check out our blog on flexible vs rigid network cable. Netwerkkabel.eu supplies almost all categories of cables on reel, with your desired shielding. Our cables on reel are available from 25 metres up to as much as 500 metres!
