The Cat5e connector is available in a shielded and an unshielded variant. The shielded variant of the Cat5e connector is suitable for our FTP and S/FTP Cat5e cables on the reel. The unshielded variant of the connector is suitable for a roll (unshielded) of UTP cables. If you are not sure whether you need a shielded or unshielded connector, feel free to ask us for advice. Inserting the cat5e Connector

Cat5e connectors should be inserted using network cable crimping pliers. This applies to both shielded and unshielded versions. In addition, a cable tester is useful to test whether everything is working properly.
